LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender. These terms indicate the sexual orientation or gender identity of a person. These four terms are described below separately.
This term is used for women whose romantic, and/or emotional orientation is towards other women. We can say that such women are sexually attracted to other women. Such women are also known as gay women. A lesbian marries to another lesbian, which is same-sex marriage. Same-sex marriage is recognized and is legal in around 30 countries across the world.
This term is used to describe people particularly males that have romantic, and/or emotional orientation towards other males. We can say that such men are sexually attracted to other men. Such men prefer to stay with other men and enjoy the companies of men. A gay can also marry another gay and it is legal in most parts of the world.
This term is used to describe people who are attracted to multiple genders equally which means they can have an attraction for the same gender or opposite gender. For example, a bisexual man who is married to a woman can have extramarital affair with another man. Similarly, a woman who is bisexual can have an attraction for other women other than his husband. This type of romantic or sexual attraction to people of any gender is also known as pansexuality.
This term is used to describe people whose gender identity or behaviour or expression do not match with the gender they were assigned at birth. For example, a male behaves like women despite having born with male genitalia such as he would like to wear female dresses, wear makeup and walk and talk like females. So, in this case, the internal feeling of being male or female or something else of people does not match with their sex at the time of birth. As per the 2016 reports of the Williams Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles, over 1 million adults were identified as transgender in the United States.

These people do not behave differentially intentionally. So, they deserve equal respect in society like other normal people. In most of the countries, laws have been made to safeguard the rights of LGBT communities as per their natural orientations. People also started understanding that these things are natural, not intentional and starting taking LGBT people lightly not as a dilemma.
